Forget advertising. Throw away the product launches. Give up the networking. Okay, so I don’t mean that literally, they are all important in the marketing mix but when it comes to turning your small business into a mean, straight-up, revenue generating machine, there is one principle you should execute on every single day.
You should preach to the converted. By that I mean you should double up on your internal marketing efforts to your existing customer base so that they can do the word-of-mouth marketing for you. That’s it. No rocket science involved and you’ve probably heard it a million times before. The trouble is with the plethora of sophisticated marketing tools out there, the varied channels for distribution we forget that the single thing we can do as entrepreneurs to create more wealth and get the word out is often the simplest.
