About Judette Coward-Puglisi

Judette Coward-Puglisi

Passion governs my life so it is no wonder that when I say that I am absolutely in love with my profession, the business of communications, that my colleagues and friends sigh and roll their eyes.

It is true that I can never get involved with anything lightly but it is this drive that caused me to quit my job as a senior television producer/journalist and start Mango Media Caribbean, a strategic business communications firm. I was 29 years old at the time and the bedroom of my tiny Woodbrook apartment was where it all began. Back then I knew nothing about running a business and less still about how to grow a fledgling one woman show into a successful company. The one thing I did have was this amazing love for my profession.

10 years later Mango Media Caribbean is well on its way to becoming the best independent, strategic communications firm in the country and I would dare say the Caribbean. I don't make this boast lightly. We employ the best people, we have the best team of senior associates and we utilise cutting-edge technology like our PR software (we are the only firm in the country to have this) and social media tools to succeed.

Our clients, from the multinational firm to the entrepreneurial type business, have two things in common: they understand the power that PR can have on their bottom-line and they feel the same thrill we do when we succeed.

About 5 am @Mango Media Caribbean

"You not really going to start blogging at 5 am!" my PR assistant, La Toya Quamina asked me in shock when she saw the new name of our corporate blog. Why not? 5 am is the best part of my day. I am already at my office, my thinking is clear, my mind and spirit are in sync. The world ( at least my corner of it) is now awakening and sharing my thoughts when all seems so right with the universe is effortless.

5 am at Mango Media Caribbean is intended to provide snippets of what it is like to live and breathe communications as well as connect you with stories and best practices in PR from around the world.

So go ahead, read on. And don't forget to post your comments. Be bold too. Advance the discussions in new directions. I look forward to connecting with you in blogsphere.
